A little bit about myself...

Born, raised, and living in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.  I began my Jewellery making with a beginner class offered through a local college.  I quickly discovered how much I loved working with metal.  Taking raw material and transforming it into beautiful pieces of wearable art.

As my skills and desire grew, I moved from a small basement studio into a more established studio space.  In recent years, I have also taken on the same teaching school that I learned from many years ago.  I enjoy the challenges I face from both producing work, and teaching.  Often times, it's my students that provide the inspiration and motivation to be consistently developing new skills and work.

I enjoy bringing nature into my work whenever possible.  This was my goal with my Hydrangea Collection and can also be seen in many of the prints I use for etching. I also like to play with contrast and texture, trying to have at least one of those features in my pieces. I'm always striving to push beyond my current boundaries and challenge myself with my inspirations and designs.

To balance my work with my life, I have 3 beautiful children, 2 adorable pooches, and a loving husband.  I love the outdoors, hiking, camping, snowboarding and sunsets on the beach. I'm also enjoying my new hobbies of running, yoga and meditation as I try to slow down my pace amidst the business of our current world.

I appreciate you taking time to visit my shop.  Have a look around, I hope something sparks your interest. Kim
